Region
Ten Community Services Board is an agency of local government,
providing mental health, mental retardation and substance
addition services where they are needed, in the local community.
We have offices and facilities in the City of Charlottesville
and in the counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa
and Nelson; making highly responsive professional staff and
programming available to all children, adults and families
living in the communities we serve.
Established
through the efforts of city and county leaders more than thirty-five
years ago, we work in partnership with the State Department
of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse
Services. As the first multi-jurisdictional community service
board in Virginia, we have enjoyed a history of creativity
in working to meet the needs of our community and have led
the way in program innovation. As a leader in mental health,
mental retardation and substance addiction services, Region
Ten offers a broad range of services, one of the most comprehensive
in the Commonwealth.
We
strive to enhance individual, family, and community functioning
and every year our team of nearly 600 employees works hard
to provide services to over 5500 clients in our service area.
As a community-based organization, we are deeply committed
to providing services locally, so that people may remain in
their home communities. We strongly believe in making those
services affordable for all who need them.
Whether
you are a community member seeking services, a representative
of another agency looking to make a referral, a prospective
or current employee, or a curious citizen hoping to learn
more about Region Ten, we welcome you to explore our pages.
