Apply on-line at www.regionten.org |

2.
By calling (434) 970-1392 to request an application be mailed
to you; you may also request that one be left at the main reception
area. |
| |
3.
In person at 502 Old Lynchburg Road between the hours of 8:30
a.m. – 5 p.m. |
| |
B.
Applicants may apply for various positions on one application.
Copies will be made and forwarded to the various hiring supervisors
for consideration. |
| |
C.
A resume may accompany your application but cannot be used in
place of an application. |
| |
D.
Some positions indicate a deadline. No applications
will be accepted after the deadline specified for that position. |
| |
| II.
An acknowledgement is sent provided the application and address
is complete.

| |
| III.
A notice is mailed if the application is incomplete or if the
applicant sends only a resume without a Region Ten Community
Services Board application. Incomplete applications and/or resumes
are held for one month. |
| |
| IV.
All applications received prior to noon on Friday by the Human
Resources Generalist are recorded, copied, and sent to the hiring
supervisor(s) for consideration. |
| |
| V.
Applications received after noon on Friday will be held till
the following Friday before being sent to the hiring supervisor
for consideration. |

| VI.
Hiring supervisors review all applications. |
| |
| VII.
Hiring supervisors call perspective applicants for interviews,
and testing, if necessary for the position. |

A.
The interviewing selection and hiring is done entirely by the
hiring supervisor and is not a Human Resources function. |
| |
B.
There is no specific time frame for filling a position. Some
supervisors make quick decisions and set up interviews within
two weeks; others take a month or longer. |

C.
Credentials/references will be verified. |
| |
D.
A DMV record is required. |
| |
E.
Current proof of auto insurance is required. |
| |
| VIII.
Once an applicant has accepted a position, a hiring form is
signed and submitted to Human Resources. |
| |
A.
New employee is given a job description and sheets explaining
the benefit package and insurance costs, based upon their percentage
of time. |
| |
B.
Notice is given to the employee regarding where and when to
attend Region Ten Community Services Board orientation. |
| |
| IX.
Orientation is required for all new employees prior to an employee’s
first day of work. |
| |
A.
Fingerprinting and a criminal background check are performed
as is a Child Protective Services search. All employment at
Region Ten is contingent upon positive results from these background
checks. |

B.
Company policy is explained. |
| |
C.
Orientation is held every Friday for 2 or more new employees
from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Lunch is provided. |
| |
D.
Benefits are explained to employee and benefits selections are
due the next Monday. |
| |
| X.
All applications are returned to Human Resources. |
| |
A.
A letter is sent to all applicants indicating that the position
is filled. |
| |
| XI.
Human Resources retains the original application for six months.

submitted to another position without filling out a new application
