Region Ten is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as the Human Resources Director. The incumbent will function as a member of an administrative team with specific responsibility to manage all aspects of the Human Resources Department and supervise the agency’s human resources staff.  Work activities that are carried out as part of this position include, but are not limited to: supervision and management of recruitment, selection, personnel/ payroll transfers, and benefits, classification, compensation, employee-employer relations, Human Resources planning and development, employee performance evaluation, policy recommendations, orientation development, management and supervision.  Responsible for ADA and EEO compliance. Master’s Degree in a human resources field, such as Human Resource Management, Human Resources, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Management with an HR concentration, or MBA with a concentration in HRM, with five years’ professional experience in human resources required, or a combination of a bachelor’s degree, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Supervisory and upper level leadership experience required. Professional certification in a human resources field required; candidates without certification may compete for the position, but must obtain the certification within one year of employment, if hired. Experience with electronic human resources systems a plus. Must have a valid VA driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Region Ten offers an excellent benefits package. Hours are Monday – Friday 8:30AM – 5:00PM; occasional evenings. Salary negotiable.
