Region Ten Community Services Board (CSB) is responding directly to the Local Human Rights Committee (LHRC) Findings and Recommendations which have recently been reported in the press.  We respect each individual’s legal, civil and human rights.  However, we disagree with the findings of the LHRC and our response to the LHRC will set forth our rationale.  We are legally prohibited from disclosing any individual’s protected health information.  Therefore, we will not comment publicly on the specific matters referred to in the LHRC’s report or in the press.

Region Ten CSB is a special arm of local government that provides recovery-oriented services to over 9,000 individuals per year in the areas of mental health, substance use, and developmental disabilities. Region Ten CSB continues to pursue excellence in the provision of behavioral health to our community.  We continually expand our services to meet the needs of individuals, and we are proud to be at the forefront of innovative services to our community. For example, we are currently fundraising for a new residential treatment facility for women who have substance abuse issues, expanding our men’s treatment facility at the MOHR Center, working on expanding housing access, and securing grants for new services in the community to help with funding gaps. We have been excited to open crisis stabilization units for adults and children, helping to meet this critical need. We are fully committed to the recovery of the persons we serve.
