| Program
Description |
An
education group for adult men and women
who are identified as needing substance
abuse and addiction information. The group
meets one day a week.
The program is 12 weeks long though
most consumers take a bit longer to complete
as they must complete twelve groups and
therefore missed groups do not count towards
their twelve weeks.
Participants
benefit from examining their own use of
mood altering substances while gaining information
around substance abuse and addiction.
This is a good group for those who
are contemplating quitting the use of a
substance but are unclear whether they are
ready to do so or for those who have quit
using substances but would benefit from
gaining knowledge around addiction.
Participants
are expected to attempt abstinence from
mood altering substances while they participate
in group. Continued use is processed in the group.

| Program
Description |
A
treatment group for adult men and women
who are identified as being dually diagnosed
as chemically dependent and having a major
mental health diagnosis that significantly
impairs their functioning. This group is
for individuals whose baseline functioning
is significantly impaired by a disability
other than their addiction. The group meets
one day a week. The program is 12 weeks long though most consumers
take a bit longer to complete as they must
complete twelve groups and therefore missed
groups do not count towards their twelve
weeks.
The
consumers need to demonstrate that they
can maintain sobriety for a period of time
(not determined, may vary from consumer
to consumer) and can be successful in a
once a week outpatient program. Relapses must be processed in group. Continued
relapse may indicate a need for a higher
level of treatment such as Inpatient or
an Intensive Outpatient Program.
