The Virginia Veterans and Family Support program (formerly Virginia Wounded Warrior Program) is a partnership between the Virginia Department of Veterans Services and Community Service Boards throughout Virginia.  This program is  a resource for all Veterans, Reservists, Guards, and their families in Region I.  This program is able to provide  information, answers to questions, makes referrals, and assists in accessing VA services.  Additionally, this program  provides a weekly Veteran  Support Group, and  offers public education facilitating access to treatment for military related PTSD, TBI ( Traumatic Brain Injury) and mental health and substance abuse issues.  All services provided by this program are free, as are most outside referrals.

Visit  http://www.dvs.virginia.gov/virginia-wounded-warrior-program/ for more information on this service.

Martha is the Senior Director of Adult Development Services for Region Ten Community Services Board.
