Access Our Services


An intake appointment is the first step to receive Region Ten services. We prioritize pregnant women in need of substance use treatment. 

For Charlottesville/Albemarle: All intake appointments are on a walk-in basis. For adults, M-F from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm at the Peterson Building at 800 Preston Avenue. For children, walk-in appointments take place at the Child and Family Clinic at 500 Old Lynchburg Road. Child and Family walk-ins take place on Mondays from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm only.

You will be given a comprehensive assessment to determine your needs and eligibility for services. The assessment will be approximately 60-90 minutes. 


The cost of services depends on your insurance coverage, your income, and the type of service you choose. Staff can provide you with more information about specific program costs at intake since some services are not eligible for sliding scale. 

SLIDING SCALE: Please bring a valid form of identification and proof of income to see if you are eligible for a sliding fee scale. There is a $15 minimum copay for sliding fee scale. Payment will be expected at the time service is provided. 

HARDSHIP: A consumer is eligible for a payment plan if they have experienced one of the following: unemployment, extraordinary medical bills, catastrophic event, and/or homelessness. Minimum monthly payment is $5.00.
