How do I get help?

- Greene County: (434)985-5220
- Louisa County: (540)967-2880
- Nelson County: (434)263-4889
Referrals for services are made through the Access/Intake process which can guide you in identifying services appropriate to your needs.
Am I eligible for services?
Except for many Medicaid Waiver services, many programs require that individuals should reside in the Region Ten catchment area. This includes Charlottesville city, and the counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson. Region Ten program entrance criteria differs by funding source and targeted individuals served. The Access department of Region Ten is available to answer specific questions about program intake.
What about costs?
The cost of services depend on the type of program or service you choose. Because Region Ten has such a wide variety of programs and funding streams, costs vary from full fee (such as Adult Developmental Services congregate residential programs) to sliding scale fee (such as many Mental Health and Substance Abuse Outpatient Services). The Access Department can provide you with information about program costs.
What about emergencies?
Region Ten is available during an emergency to provide prescreening services to admission to psychiatric facilities. If you are experiencing a behavioral health emergency, please call (434) 972-1800.
