Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in a human services field to meet the definition of Qualified Mental Health Provider-Adult (QMHP-A), Qualified Mental Health Provider – Child (QMHP-C), or Qualified Intellectual Disability Provider (QIDP).  In addition to the degree, one years related work experience is required.  Positions posted as QMHP-Eligible may consider applicants with less than the required one years related works experience.  Positions posted as QPPMH do not require the bachelor’s degree but do have minimum education and related work experience requirements.  The links below provide additional information from Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, Office of Licensing website:

Executive Director

Region Ten Community Services Board is seeking a dynamic, highly qualified and established leader to become its executive director.  The Executive Director is directly accountable and responsible for the overall success of the entire Region Ten Community Services Board (RTCSB) operation to include budgeting, strategic planning, program evaluation, contracting, financial management, human resources, employee benefits, risk management, management information systems, training, EEO management, licensure, accreditation and all clinical services.  The Executive Director is employed under an annually renewable contract with a 14 member Board of Directors and is evaluated annually by the Board.  The Executive Director will be responsible for all aspects of the management of over 600 staff throughout the city of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Green, Louisa, and Nelson, Virginia with an annual budget of $39.8 million plus.  RTCSB has a reputation for providing exceptional service.

An applicant must have an undergraduate degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, or another human services-related field or in business, public, hospital, or healthcare administration or another management-related field is required and comparable related experience may substitute for education.  Considerable experience (e.g. 6-10 years) in leading public or private organizations with functions and responsibilities similar or comparable to RTCSB, and some (e.g. 2-5 years) experience in reporting to a board of directors.  Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of human services and health services administration, business administration, or government program administration, human resources management, information technology, and financial management, including budgeting, resource allocation, monitoring, and auditing is required.  Some knowledge of mental health, developmental, and substance use disorder programs and services delivery is required. 

The preferred candidate will have a graduate degree in one of the fields listed above; extensive experience (e.g. more than 10 years) in leading public or private organizations with functions and responsibilities that are similar or comparable to RTCSB and considerable experience in reporting directly to a governing board; and considerable knowledge of mental health, developmental, and substance use disorder programs and services delivery and ability to provide clinical or programmatic oversight of these services.

Executive Director Job Description

Clinician II/III Substance Abuse, Mohr Center

Clinician needed to provide clinical and residential services to individuals enrolled in the Mohr Center residential treatment program in full time, part time or PRN capacity. Incumbent will perform assessments and provide counseling and rehabilitative services through individual and group therapy. Other duties include provision of supportive advocacy, information, and referral assistance to link individuals to other services in the community. The Clinician will develop treatment plans with enrolled individuals and assist them in reaching their identified goals. Must have substance abuse certification, SACAVA, hold a license in a related human services field, or be eligible to have one of these certifications within two years of employment. Schedule is full time Monday through Friday 12pm – 8:45 pm and will vary based on program needs, which include evening, weekend and holiday hours.  

Clinician II: Must be licensure eligible in Virginia or registered within 6 months of hire.  $43,176.47annually.

Clinician III: Must be licensed (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LCP) in Virginia. $47,494.12 annually.

Housing Stabilization Case Manager

Join the new Housing Team at Region Ten!  This newly created, Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) grant-funded position is seeking a case manager who will work intensively with chronically homeless and disabled adults who are participants in the Permanent Supportive Housing rental assistance program and are transitioning into housing.  Flexibility, dependability and ability to work collaboratively with outside organizations are essential.  Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; QMHP is preferred.  Must have a valid VA driver’s license and acceptable driving record.  Hours are Mon – Fri, 8:30 – 5:00.  $39,251.34 annually.

Pediatric Speech Therapist

Newly created position with Infant Toddler Connection of the Blue Ridge to provide speech language pathology to infants and toddlers with delays and disabilities and their families. Join a dynamic early intervention team and provide eligibility determination, assessment, goal development and provision of services.  Includes seeing children in their homes and travel within Charlottesville and surrounding counties. Director of Compliance

Exciting opportunity to lead Region Ten’s Compliance Department! The incumbent will serve as the agency’s primary policy analyst and will manage the agency’s quality assurance and electronic health records staff. Will be responsible for staying current with all statutes, researching impact to the agency, and generating policy and procedure recommendations. Will also provide needs assessment data, planning information, in-house evaluations, and other documents as needed regarding overall agency functioning. Master’s Degree in behavioral health science or related field such as Public Administration, or Business Administration, with five years of professional experience in quality assurance, medical records, utilization review, program planning & evaluation activities and coordination in the area of clinical and/or community services, involving compliance with statutory regulations, or a combination of Bachelor’s Degree, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Case Manager, Fluvanna

This position provides case management services to individuals of all ages with mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or developmental disabilities.   The incumbent will provide assessment of service needs, coordination of services among providers, development of service plans, as well as monitoring of needs and advocacy.  The Case Manager will provide consultation and education for consumers, families and the community, to include individual self-care trainings and supports reinforcing functional skills and appropriate behavior related to health, safety, and activities of daily living. The incumbent may provide some mental health skill building services such as teaching activities of daily living to individuals, accessing community resources, and maintaining personal health and safety in the community.  Valid VA driver’s license and good DMV driving record required.
