Service Overview
The Charlottesville/Albemarle Family Recovery Court (FRC) program is designed to aid and equip parents to achieve long-term sobriety in order to enhance the probability of family reunification when there are mandatory legal timeframes present in child dependency cases.
FRC requires five successful “phase” completions, regular court appearances and drug screenings, and includes various treatment methods such as individual counseling, peer support groups, and intensive outpatient substance use treatment. FRC is a partnership between Region Ten CSB, Charlottesville/Albemarle Juvenile Domestic Relations District Court, Department of Social Services, Piedmont CASA, and the Virginia Department of Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS).
