Service Overview
Mental Health Skill-Building Services (MHSS) is an array of intensive skills trainings and supports provided to individuals experiencing specific functional limitations as a result of severe and persistent mental illnesses. Services are designed to enable individuals to achieve and maintain community stability and independence in the most appropriate, least restrictive environment. Services are generally provided in the community or in the individual’s home with maximum attention given to reducing the potential for deterioration that could lead to hospitalization, or the intervention of crisis staff or the criminal justice system.
