Peer Training: Providing Peer Support During Times of Crises–Peer Training
Review ACEs, trauma awareness, & de-escalation techniques while focusing on self-awareness. DISCLAIMER: This is not crisis training. Participants will discuss ways to be self-aware when supporting an individual who has experienced trauma which may align with the provider’s experiences. A review of the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study (ACEs), trauma- informed peer support, and de-escalation strategies will also be discussed.
